My name is Kai Hatcher, an artist and writer from Long Island, NY and I am currently a graduate student pursuing my master’s in art history and criticism. A lot of my research delves into the intersection of black diasporic identity and regionality with a focus in photography, video, installation and sculpture. More broadly I am interested in interactive installation as well as sound and materiality. As an artist, I work across mediums such as ink, oil pastel, acrylic paint and digital mediums. My work explores critical legibilities.
